I missed the faith-off last night but thought Andrew Sullivan's commentary was a good place to start the proceedings here in the brand-new, glossy, fully dedicated Metaphor Country religion boutique (you're soaking in it). Key observation:
...the implications of the debate were... worrying. We have had terrible problems grappling with the religious right these past few years, but we may have just begun to adjust to the power and emergence of the religious left.
Will be keeping an eye on this. Personal observations -- will as before be tracking developments in both official and unofficial (secular?) religion -- but this time from the standpoint of a participant, not just a wannabe academic. Participant in what? Elements of Judaism with a chance of afternoon Zen.
Don't say you haven't been warned.
And welcome!
